Effective July 15, 2026. These terms explain account use, purchases, course access, safety responsibilities, and the limits of online training.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to learnlowvoltage.com and the courses, accounts, downloads, community features, and related services provided by Learn Low Voltage (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are not old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. You must provide accurate information and use the Services only as permitted by law.
You are responsible for protecting your login information and for activity under your account. Course access is for the registered student and may not be shared, resold, transferred, or made available to others. Tell us through the contact page if you believe your account has been compromised.
The applicable checkout or offer page will show the price, billing frequency, taxes, access period, cancellation method, and refund terms before you pay. One-time courses and recurring memberships may have different terms. By purchasing a recurring plan, you authorize charges at the stated interval until you cancel. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically create a refund for a completed billing period except where the offer or law requires one.
Prices and offerings may change prospectively. We will not change the price of a completed one-time purchase after the transaction. If a payment fails or is reversed, access may be paused while the issue is resolved.
The Services provide general education and do not guarantee employment, earnings, licensing, certification, code compliance, system performance, or an "AI-proof" career. A Learn Low Voltage completion certificate is not a government license or third-party industry certification unless expressly stated.
Low-voltage work may involve electrical hazards, ladders, tools, construction sites, networks, security systems, life-safety systems, and regulated work. Follow applicable law, codes, permits, employer rules, site rules, manufacturer instructions, required supervision, and the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Stop and seek a qualified supervisor whenever a task is outside your training, authorization, or competence.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use purchased or authorized course materials for your own learning and field reference. Learn Low Voltage and its licensors retain ownership of the videos, lessons, graphics, text, downloads, branding, site design, and other content.
You may not copy, record, scrape, republish, upload, sell, sublicense, distribute, publicly display, remove ownership notices from, or create competing products from the Services except with written permission or where law expressly allows it.
You may not misuse the Services; interfere with security or operation; attempt unauthorized access; share malicious code; impersonate another person; harvest information; post illegal, deceptive, threatening, discriminatory, infringing, or unsafe material; or use community features to spam or solicit students without permission.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Learn Low Voltage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, moderate, improve, and promote the Services. Do not submit confidential customer information, access credentials, protected plans, personal data you lack permission to share, or material that violates another person’s rights.
The Services may rely on payment processors, video hosts, email providers, learning-management tools, and links or integrations operated by others. Their separate terms may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
We may improve, replace, or discontinue parts of the Services and may schedule maintenance or respond to security issues. We will use reasonable efforts to preserve purchased access or provide a reasonable alternative when a material paid feature changes, subject to legal, technical, and third-party limitations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow all disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learn Low Voltage and its owners, personnel, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity, or business interruption arising from the Services. Our aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Learn Low Voltage for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where law prohibits it.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Learn Low Voltage from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, fraud, security risk, nonpayment, unlawful activity, or harm to other users or the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Except where consumer law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Learn Low Voltage’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and give both sides 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. The revised Terms will be posted here with a new effective date. If a material change affects an active paid service, we may provide additional notice.
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Learn Low Voltage contact page.
